Here is a link to a huge document on the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for language teaching and learning.

There is a useful self-assessment on p 26 and 27 and a good chapter on language learning and teaching.

Online magazine for English teachers and trainers

This is a link to 15 issues of a very useful online magazine. Although it's aimed at the Vietnamese context, most of it is universal.
